Just to clarify the basic dialogue thingy in paypal does NOT hold the sellers funds, the funds are only held when the dispute is escalated to a full chargeback.

If you don't get any response at all from the dialogue then escalate, I would not wait anywhere near the 20 days you have though, no more that 3 or 4 personally.

That sounds a lot more encouraging. Just remember not to 'close' anything in paypal until you get the items and are happy with them.

I would disagree with the holding funds part - I personally experience this a lot. As soon as a dispute is issued Paypal will freeze the funds until the issue is resolved - it doesnt need to be escalated, they still get temporarily held. I am speaking from pure experience
£9500 to go as of Nov 2011 :j Debt free by Summer 2012...I hope :rotfl:
  • So basically when I recieve the goods there is a procedure on Paypal where I drop the dispute so to speak,so as to release his money?
  • Yep just go into the dispute console and select the case you have open - theres an option within there to simply close the case. Just make sure that when you get the goods you are 100% happy with them because the case cannot be opened again. In this case it's fishing tackle so obviously it either works or it doesnt but in my business I purchase a lot of laptops and computers so should they develop any faults within a reasonable time frame I would find it difficult to claim once I close the case.

I would give it till end of next week, as bank holiday was this week, so could have been delayed.

Next stop a few polite emails asking where is your items, then if not resolved go to paypal.
