Am more confused about my ISA

Hi I just need some clarification, seems the more I read the more confused I am ... DUH

In March 2004 I put £3000 into an IF ISA I then continued to save £100 per month up to the present... putting around £1200 per yr plus the interest.
What I am not sure about is whether all my cash with IF is in one ISA or if they open a new ISA for each of the years I have been saving even though I didn't use up the whole ISA allowance for each year....

I was going to open a new A & L ISA and transfer the whole thing over £5000 into this new ISA and then open another one in April.... can I do this ? and would I be able to put £3000 into the new ISA as well as transfer the £5000 into it?

My IF is paying 4.55% and the A & L is paying 5.2% plus a bonus..

Sorry if this looks confused. But I am...

Thanks

My guess is that you have one ISA, because they cannot open a new one without your request.

Yes, but what's the point in opening another ISA? You can add £3K to the old one.
and would I be able to put £3000 into the new ISA as well as transfer the £5000 into it?
    Yes

In fact 5.2% include bonus ...
