Surely if they are bogus emails, they are not from the Halifax so why hold them responsible?

I get bogus emails all the time from Halifax,ebay,paypal..oh the list goes on. Fraud must be rife because people do click on them...

    Hi
As Psst says Halifax can't help you they have no control over it
    It is just spam
    Delete it
    Block the sender
    Never click the link EVER

If you think it is from Halifax
Open a new browser window and go direct to their site then log in & you will see if you have any genuine message from them

The phrase "hiding to nothing" springs to mind

If it was that easy to stop believe me I think we all would have contacted our ISP
Just ignore it,everything else is a waste of energy & your time

You can "bounce" emails to the sender that fools them that the email address is not a live one

But do not "reply" this tells them it is a live email address & you WILL get more

True; but most spam is sent out with forged headers anyway - the email address that it's supposed to have come to isn't going to have anything to do with the person who actually sent it.

Really, the best thing you can do with spam emails like this is delete them.
