I've just update the latest version of MSN messenger, on reboot, some of the icons are missing from the toolbar i.e MSN messenger, any idea how to reinstall the icons back onto the toolbar?

There's a registry fix here (says IE6 but also IE7). Remember to download the icon.
You'll then need to go through the customise the toolbar routine.

You mean you can't download the icon (msn.ico)? Right click on it and select 'Save target as...' Then save it to the C:\Windows folder.
Or do you mean the windows_live_button.reg link? You just left click on this and you should then get the option to save it as per the rest of the instructions given there.

Be warned - the procedure involves amending the Registry. If you're not familiar with doing this I'd advise against it I'm afraid!

    Don't worry.
Did you download the icon file (msn.ico)?

So if you right click on the 'msn.ico' link and select 'Save target as' does it give you an option to choose where to save it to (C:\Windows folder) before the warning comes up? If so have a look in that folder to see if the msn.ico file is there.
If not try right clicking on this -
    msn.ico
and doing the same 'Save target as...' then save it to your Windows folder then follow the customise toolbar option in IE. You'll probably need to close and reopen IE7 first

I managed to "save as target" saved it to documents > recently changed, but this is where I'm stuck.
