Question re. Bifinet breadmaker (merged)

I just got a breadmaker and it has 2 X 1lb loaf tins in it. My problem is the ingredients eg. 5/8 cups of water and 2 1/4 cups of flour etc. this means the pound tin overflows with ingredients. Am I meant to divide the ingredients between the two tins?? If anyone has advice, I'd appreciate it as I am making them now.

I suspect that yes, the mix is supposed to be shared between the two. They've probably hidden that instruction somewhere in a dark corner of your booklet

The tins should be just over half full so yes, they probably have to be split over the two tins. Might be easier to half what it says in the manual and write it next to the measurements so you know what one tin's measurements are.
Enjoy your freshly baked bread.

Hi, please move this if you need to, can't figure out how to post a new thread under the breadmaking topic section.
I got a Bifinett breadmaker on freecycle which I was thrilled to get, however, I tried using it today and it was a total disaster. Basically the machine has 2 tins each one is for a 1lb loaf. The basic recipe says use 5-8 cups of water, and 2 1/4 cups of flour etc., this would have meant an overflow situation of one tin, so with excellent advice from the site I divided the ingredients between the two tins. I got a soggy mess after 2hrs:10mins. If anyone has this machine could they throw some light on this subject or if anyone knows a good recipe for a basic 1lb (only) white loaf, I'd really appreciate it. I'll give it another try tomorrow. I don't want to have to put it back on freecycle. Many thanks DinkydeePenny xxx

Think the recipe you have might mean 5/8 ths of the cup?? My measuring cup is in 1/8ths too HTH0

The mix, if made with 5/8 of a cup of water should have been fairly stiff and not runny at all.
Oh dear.
What I'll do though is add this thread on to the end of your earlier one so that the whole thing is all in one place.

I got a secondhand Bifinett BM 6600 breadmaker, but I don't have any operating instructions or recipe book. Does anyone know where I can find those for this model of breadmaker?0
