Hi, please move this if you need to, can't figure out how to post a new thread under the breadmaking topic section.

I got a Bifinett breadmaker on freecycle which I was thrilled to get, however, I tried using it today and it was a total disaster. Basically the machine has 2 tins each one is for a 1lb loaf. The basic recipe says use 5-8 cups of water, and 2 1/4 cups of flour etc., this would have meant an overflow situation of one tin, so with excellent advice from the site I divided the ingredients between the two tins. I got a soggy mess after 2hrs:10mins. If anyone has this machine could they throw some light on this subject or if anyone knows a good recipe for a basic 1lb (only) white loaf, I'd really appreciate it. I'll give it another try tomorrow. I don't want to have to put it back on freecycle. Many thanks Dinkydee
