There's just the one pregnancy thread, we're on version ix now... Usually floating at the top of this list because we natter so much! I wouldn't try and read from the beginning if I were you, just start from the end...

I'm 35+4 now and have put 2st on, right at the very beginning I couldn't wear my jeans or anything that did up across my belly, I went really bloated for the first trimester but it had settled down by the middle trimester... I'm not worried about weight gain, being pregnant is the only time a woman is not judged for what she puts in her mouth... Make the most of this time! (I'm following Glams diet plan too) Once you have a little baby there'll be no time to sit and eat ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I reckon you may as well eat what you want and enjoy it when your pregnant - you've got the rest of your life to diet.

Once you get into your third trimester your likely to have constant heartburn (i know I have) which kind puts you off eating too much anyway.

PS I can remember being quite disgusted looking at my old maternity clothes and thinking how big and awful they were and that I certainly wouldn't be wearing them again. Fast forward to 35 weeks and they are completely acceptable and so much more comfy!

Although I gained bump weight whilst pregnant with my daughter I lost "me" weigh - if that makes sense?!

I had really bad morning/all day sickness and the foods I could eat were really limited. Once I got over that, I craved fruit and veg!

Have never eaten so healthily in my life :rotfl:

I did Aqua natal - it was great, really relaxing. When you get to 8-9months it feels fantastic in the water, with the support.

Follow a healthy diet, get some regular exercise, but please don't consider a "diet". This is not the time to be undertaking such regimes. Putting on weight is natural,if you eat healthily,it will not be excessive. Breastfeeding helps the poubds come off afterwards too,so if possible consider that.

Hiya Op congrats on your pregnancy firstly. I agree with the other poster dont try and diet now just try and eat different healthy options if you can. I am now 19wks gone and have already put 1 1/2 stone on so it may be all baby as the majority of my weight gain happened in the first 3 months like you. Try to eat loads of fruit and veg and let yourself have a little bit of chocolate or another treat each day. Water really helped my morning sickness to once you get over the initial shock to system of taking in a larger amount of water each day it can make you feel loads better for it. Thankfully my cravings this time seem to be being kind to me im on tomatoes at the moment which are relatively good for me it was macdonalds and alcohol free beer with my last one what a nightmare lol. Good luck with What ever you do and try not to worry this is the one time you are allowed to indulge yourself without feeling overly guilty, worry about it after the baby is born.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm due in 3 weeks and nearly at the +4 stone mark :D it's all good as long as you're happy and healthy. Don't let it worry you too much, as I did and my blood pressure went uppppp. Then I decided not to care and worry about my weight afterwards and my blood pressure is back to normal :D

It sucks being like 14 stone though I must admit lol

eat as much as you want of good wholesome food - i.e. not processed garbage, for 80% of the time, and have a bit of what you fancy the other 20% of the time.

So, for example, you could have a jacket potato with beans and salad for lunch, and then a wee ginger nut biscuit later on if you're feeling queasy.;)

it's about balance, but never ever cut back on calories - you'd not starve a newborn, so don't do it to a smaller baby.;)
