Dining in Bergen, Norway?
Comments

Was there last year.
VERY expensive to eat out. Agree with comments about the fish market.
A cheaper (relatively speaking !) way to eat is to go to a supermarket and buy bread, cheese, fruit there.0 -
Very many thanks to all for their help in this thread.0

I am just back from Norway (skiing) and I found it very expensive. If you want to save money the best way is to buy all your food and drinks in the supermarket, although expect them to be much more than at home. I thought that goods in the supermarket were typically 50-100% more than at home. If you like chocolate, then take lots of it with you as it is very expensive.
If you buy drinks out anywhere, expect them to be very overpriced. Even in small local shops expect to pay £2 for a 500ml bottle of water!0
