Best Budgetish gaming PC

This seems like a fairly decent PC for the money. You'd need to keep the monitor, mouse and keyboard from your old system and I'm not sure if its got Windows installed, but its a pretty good system.
The Q6600 processor may have been surpassed by the new i7 processors but its a blisteringly quick quad core processor. It has plenty of good quality ram, and 2 8800GT graphics cards running in SLi mode. Again the 8800's are a little old, but it will still run current games very nicely:

^ Thats a powerhouse of a PC and with that cooler you can overclock the CPU to over 3Ghz. Excellent case as well.0

It tells me it's a refurb being sold by a discount retailer who are neither racist nor homophobes, as far as I know.
Take a look at the price of individual components at OCUK as compared to scan or ebuyer. I personally wouldn't touch OCUK with a bargepole, but they're more or less never the cheapest retailer for parts.
Their prices are pretty uncompetitive, so it doesn't surprise me that a budget pc seller can undercut them so heavily. The major difference in spec is the 9600GT vs dual 8800GTs. The OCUK machine would murder the europc box in terms of video performance, but then the massive difference in price would allow the OP to buy a much better card than the OCUK machine provides, with a big chunk of change left over.
Consider that the CPU alone costs £152 at ebuyer (22 quid less than it costs at OCUK), and you're looking at a very nice price for the europc box, even with it being a refurb. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
