Best Budgetish gaming PC

:confused:We are looking to replace our pc. Really we're looking for a gaming pc on a budget of no more then £650. We understand precessors and ram it's the graphics card where we come unstuck. What would be the best graphics card we could expect for a pc in that price range? And if any of you lovely people would care to recommend a good company for us to buy from that would be super great.

Used them once, Only thing is the PC's are refurbished. Can get expensive PC's with up to £100 slashed off the price.

The 4890 is much, much better than the GeForce 9600GT.

What games are you playing at the moment? Buying the latest hardware could well end up being wasteful.

I agree, that is one desirable graphics card :p but if your only playing games like Morrowind (which used to require "good" graphics) then your better off buying someting a little less extravagant. Are you planning on buying a PC and then adding the graphics card or Building the whole thing from scratch?
  • Well hubby is into warhammer i love sims and tend to pick other random games that need good graphics. We were planning on buying a pc fully made but if it's cheaper to buy good pc and add an excellent graphics card then we would go with that. Which would you recommend?

Well, something like this will do the job, it has a 512MB ATI Radeon 4850 and a Quad core CPU, 3GB of ram for £629

a few years go i used to work there, they are acually a pretty good operation. they had a tendancy to clasify weird stuff like dell xps's as posh pcs so would only charge £20 more for a xps vs a desktop, they also dont really account for gpus so you would sometimes see a system sell for less than the quatro in it but you needed to be quick and feel free to haggle.

It has a Geforce 250GTS graphics card which is the equivalent of the Radeon 4850, also has a quadcore and 4GB of RAM. They sell this PC without an OS for £399. It's a pretty nice deal, I think. You can add a copy of Vista for £85 or keep the cost down and use an existing copy you might have.
