my mum ordered a laptop from them and she got told to go into the store to pick it up
when she went into the sore told her that it hadnt been deleieverd becuase there was a problem with her card - why they not call and tell peopple instead of waisting peoples time. muippets0 -
Again I phone up the urgent orders helpline and again they say there is no record of my request for a return and exchange on my broken electrical appliance.
This smacks to me of them stalling on purpose.
Anyone know if I can demand a refund even while I've still got thier poxy broken appliance (they can't pick it up because of the backlog of orders)? Or should I sit it out? Or should I take the broken kit to a store and demand a charge-back there and then?:mad:0 -
First rule of thumb.
Write or email do not phone.
Unfortunately, phone calls are easier to ignore by customer services. However if you structure your complaint in writing you are more likely to receive a response.
I ordered from TD, and when delivered two items (out of five), laundry bin and bread bin were dented. I sent an email stating that these were deemed useless and that the packaging used was insufficient for the nature of the product.
The result was that I received a full refund, told to dispose the items as I wished, would have free delivery on my next TD order and was sent a £30 gift card.
I remained polite, but firm, clearly identifying their failure as a company to ensure safe transit for their products. I also pointed out that although they stated delivery next day, they didn't actually deliver on Sundays as they sub-contract out for deliveries and this therefore was false advertising.Financial Aims for 2012:

I used Tesco Direct once, never again, I returned some items they had delivered that were incorrect, I then started getting threatening letters from one particular lady (who was not contactable by phone) saying they had not recieved the items back they started threatening me with debt collectors, black marks against my credit score etc etc.
The lady who delivered the goods and also collected them provided me with her evidence as well as the evidence of my own, in the end I threatened the lady by letter that I would contact the police and press charges on her personally for harrassing me. She left me alone after that. Never used Tesco Direct again.0 -
I'm a member of staff at Tesco Direct head office and am very surprised you were not given any kind of gesture for the wasted trip. I can check up on this for you if you want me to.0

I cant fathom why there are so many errors in collection, its not there, wrong item, item is broke, no record of returns, things get "lost" maybe a minor mistake rarely is acceptable but sheer volume of error by companies is massive, i blame the people work there just not bothering to get it right.Owed out = lots. :cool:0
