I got a letter from Virgin Atlantic Amex a couple days ago saying my interest rate was going up to 29.9%
Then today I got a letter syaing my credit limit was being reudced from £10,400 to £10,300.
Really, was there any need for that?!

I'm afraid this is quite a common occurrence on MBNA issued cards. Ditch the card and apply for another one.0 -

It's a variable rate credit agreement and they have varied the interest rate.

I don't imagine £100 reduction is going to cause you any problems.0 -

What is your current balance? They may be reducing it gradually. It is just MBNA reducing the risk with there customers. Do you have any late / missed payments?Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Current balance is £5k but will be BT'd off soon. No late/missed payments, but my 0% deal just ended so I guess that's why they have boosted up the APR. It was 17.9% before so a rise to 29.9% is pretty extreme....0
