I am a member of the 'exclusive' boots chat forum, but I too was expelled. When I contacted the moderator they kindly explained that there had been a few 'glitches' with the site and it had accidently banned everybody . I reapplied and was very kindly let back in out of the cold.

The last fantastic boots glitch was the toni & guy shampoo and conditioners that scanned thru at 0p with a voucher out of the ACM. Just realised that might not have been posted on here :doh: Plus it irritated the hell out of my scalp so had to return them and got a full refund, fantastic. Could do with a few more glitches like that.

This happened to me too. I had been away for a while, as i am suffering from Post Natal depression and sometimes I just can't face people, even through the computer, and found that I couldn't log on. I got the same answer as outrageous_monkey, about a major forum glitch and was 'reinstated' HTH

what have i got to do, to become a member of the exclusive boots forum? im in and out of boots all week, and my friend works there, and she tells me when weird things happen on tills.;)

quite the opposite, i feel so much better posting on our forum because everyone is friendly and ive not once been slag*ed off for my dyspraxia like as always happens on here and i feel comfortable discussing my life and sharing pics knowing that alla nd sundry cant have a peek without my knowledge or permission. thanks for your concern, though.

Well all of us left on here, need to work hard with one another, and any bargains we see to post straight away,i think i read that some of the older members,will be still updating first page and giving us the glitchs they find so chin up girls.

ok, all this negativity is really upsetting so this is the last thing i'm gonna say. i was trying to be helpful but don't know why i bothered. i can't tell u how to set it up as i didn't do it so i tried to answer your question as honestly & as helpfully as i could. i still post on mse aswell as the other board - all the glitches are posted here aswell so if that's what u think u r missing then i wouldn't worry. the other board is for friendly likeminded people to chat about anything they want, as we were told we couldn't do it here & advised to try proboards. we were discussing whether to let certain people in that we remembered but after all this i think everyone is getting a bit miffed - i for one am finding it very upsetting that people think i am ignoring them or being mean in any way as i am really not meaning to be like that!

sorry for the nonboots chat again mods but i felt i had to reply as i feel people are getting at me & my friends for no reason other than they think they are missing out on something.
oh & btw i too was banned for a while - there was a problem with the system.

Its always difficult when you think you can't join a club... I think that one of the strengths of both the Boots thread and MSE is that there are always new people posting. Equally, after a while that gets annoying as you seem to be going over the same ground again and again ( see the TEsco misprice discussion thread for example) .
So if people have made friends and then want to chat elsewhere at length that is fine imo- sometimes on here its good to have some discipline, especially if you are in a hurry, although I don't think people would like this thread to become as brutal as the tesco misprice thread.
On the subject of glitches, from what people say there are good and bad spells and these glitches have gone on for years. Admittedly the Time delay episode must have shocked Boots, but I think if we are patient I am sure from what more mature tarts have said in the past, that we will be ready to pounce!!!
