I think someone tried and it didn't!

I just got from the ACM a 50 points for Botantics hair, which worked with the parenting voucher for the hair masks. So got 50 points for taking away two hair masks. Also, bought in same transaction some travel things that were half price and on 3 for 2 so did not seem too bad.
Wanted to try the no7 300 points on concentrates but SA would not even try it - wanting the skin care set and said I thought that as small it was concentrates, she had already tried to stop me having mascara as it was 9.99 so I said just try and she did so we agreed maybe as only 1p the till was allowing it. When she would not try 300 point voucher I said leave it, although should have got magazine and then got with 200 points from that. Oh well always tomorrow.0 -

for anyone with triple points on mini mode over £10 voucher.
i bought two items, one was reduced and it did not add the points - sa maually added for me (this was a bonus as they added 120 for total spend when it should have been just on the clothing, but i wasn't complaining)
just a heads up to check your receipt if the sa dosen't
Also just realised i used a triple points on huggies voucher and didn't get those eitherah well the 120 will cover it all.
Huggies starter pack went through fine with pack of huggies, £2 off voucher & set of free mini essentials :T0 -
I would like to use my points for a digital camera but I can't find one instore.
Has anyone purchased something online and returned it to the store to ask if you can refund and pay with points. ( I am not wanting to gain anything by doing this, I just would like a digital camera with my points)
Thanks

Yes, Shelly, I did this. I went instore and asked about it, and they told me that I could do it. But, unfortunately, the item I bought was an internet-only item, so after they'd refunded me, they couldn't resell it to me on points. And then, they couldn't resell it to me for cash either because only Boots.com sold them!!
So, I had to buy another (bought from elsewhere though, as it was cheaper).
So, make sure the item you choose is also sold in some stores (if not your local one) before you go to the bother!!

I noticed in the Boots mag, there is a 500 point voucher for tooth whitening. A while ago, there were 500 point vouchers in the AC machines and someone discovered they went through with whitening toothpaste. Just wondered if anyone had tried with this voucher. There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

I had also been saving my points to buy a digital camera. I went into Boots last Wednesday, and bought a Canon A520, reduced from £249.99 to £189.99 and redeemed 18999 points. When I checked online, the camera was only £149.99 (and still is). I queried the price difference and was told that the stores cannot match the internet price, even though, technically it is the same company. However, I got the last laugh, because today the price went down instore to £139.99, and I took back my till receipt (as advised by a member of staff) and got back 5000 points.
BTW, everyone I have spoken to so far, have told me this is an excellent camera. One main advantage is that it takes ordinary AA batteries, rather than slim rechargeable ones. I know the camera is more bulky, but this is to accommodate the optical zoom.0 -
