mazza245 wrote:I got my first ever Lilac Bag yesterday but what I had to go through to get it! I have read all your messages and felt jealous that I didn't ever have the time at lunchtime or nerve to try any of these things but I thought I would pluck up courage yesterday. Just got back from holiday so not much money but plenty of points on 3 cards. Got 2 No 7 sun things and the lilac bag, took it upstairs out of the way of the No. 7 SA, but the girl kept saying "It's BOGOF so it's only £8.50!" I kept trying with various combinations (with a queue waiting impatiently behind me, the most impatient being an SA on her lunch!0 In the end she made me buy four things to make up to £15, so I got the bag and some other things but she wouldn't put the No. 7 £5 voucher through, didn't put the 75 point voucher for spending more than £10 on, then said I couldn't pay on points for the remainder, so it cost me £17.70. Then went downstairs as I wanted the Clinique free thing which she let me have even though it didn't start till today but she was a nightmare as well. She took one £5 voucher but wouldn't do the 75 point one and wouldn't let me pay in points as she said I couldn't when I had used the £5 voucher! Then I got a No. 7 eyeshadow for £5.50 to use the £5 voucher but she used my points! I said please refund it as I want to use the £5 voucher, then pay the 50pence in points but she wouldn't. Said she couldn't refund the points! So I ended up paying out another £25 there! Sorry about this rambling but I came out with my brain scrambled and not knowing what I should do. So now I still have two £5 vouchers and don't want to waste them but I am frightened of it all costing me more money if I go back.
Should I take it all back and start again? But the chances of getting a crabby SA are high. I would be grateful for your advice.
Hiya sorry to hear about ur bad experience, u cant pay for things by using ur points and cash u have to use 1 or the other and u also cant use a £5 voucher with points.
But what was her reason for not accepting ur £5 voucher i have never heard of that before, personally i would of said leave it then i dont want any of my stuff and walked away.
When buying 2 things on bogof that would of been £15 and getting a bag its best to just put them all in the basket with other things and just hand ur basket over i have had about 10 bags so far and never been refused 1 when doing it this way.  :dance:0 -
Hi
I just phoned Boots.com as I have not received any mailings, ever, and was told that although I am on the mailing list only 3% actually get a mailing except for Parenting club members.0 -
Sorry to hear about your experience mazza, but this might give you hope about taking things back...
I just took back a Sanctuary Mande Susu pot for £7.95 because I'd actually meant to get the Mande scrub and they look just same. All I did was get an exchange on this and three lots of bodyform using bodyform vouchers and I got 43 points, a £5 off No. 7 voucher and 16p change! Still can't believe they give No 7 vouchers for exchanges!
Anyway, if there's anything you decide you don't really want mazza and it's not cosmetics, then just take it back with receipt. It's better to be embarrassed in front of some anonymous SA than feeling conned out of money! and maybe with the Med pregnancy stuff, go back and exchange it from something not from the pregnancy range and maybe buy some bodyform too and if it comes to over a tenner you might find they give you another voucher too! the key to the No 7 vouchers is any extra has to be paid for with cash, not points sadly!0 -

Blimey, that's a bit harsh  . I wonder how they decide who gets what?In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -

Someone mentioned johnsons holiday skin body lotion. A better option for some could be No 7 sunkised moisturiser. Normally £8.50. There's a £2 off coupon in AC machine, then use £5 off voucher and 250 points voucher from lilac bag or voucher in magazine. Works out to be £150 but more than that back in points!
Easy 4 men - reduced in many stores and extra points in ac machine. Got 3 in 1 wash...works out to be a freebie!
I've got a few of the Sunkissed Moisturiser using the £5.00 voucher and the £2.00 AC machine reduction (cos its really nice, but at £8.50???), but watch your receipt if you try and use the 250 point voucher - although (if you get a non crabby SA that will scan it for you) it appears to work, it doesn't actually add the points onto your card!
I got the voucher back and used it on something else (2 sun care body buff - £5.50 each, BOGOF, pay with No 7 voucher, 50p to pay for two products, and on this one the 250 points WILL work)0 -

2 x £19.50 No7 Facial Suncare kit (BOGOF)
2 x £5.50 No7 Body Buffer (BOGOF)
1 x Preg Med Body Butter
3 x Lilac Bags:D
Paid with -
£16 No7 Pregnancy Voucher
£5 No7 Voucher
£5 Med voucher
Total to pay £4.59ish recieved 17 points
For some reason my £16 No7 preg voucher only took off £15.50 from the facial kit and not the whole amount?Has anyone else had this happen?
And the free med voucher would not work on the normal med range only the pregnancy one, is this normal?
But im not complaining! Four quid for over £55 worth of stuff, v. happy!:jNevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
chelltune wrote:Did the other 50p come off of the body butter perhaps? The rest of the body butter would have been free with your N07 voucher.
I had to pay 50p towards the body butter but it definatly said £3.90 next to the facial kits on the reciept? Its very strange! Im glad i didnt pick up the £24.50 sets that some people got for free!
I wonder if it only took off £16 beacuse i also used a £5 No7 voucher?
The boots tills have a mind of their own so its possible!:D:dance:0 -
HI there, does anyone know whether you can use the 10% off soltan voucher that came with a recent mailing (I dont think its the easter mailing though as I didnt get that one!) on the Soltan Family Day Out kit which is on BOGOF? The voucher says it can't be used with any other offer, but I was just wondering whether this was accurate!!
I also bought the Shampoo and conditioner on BOGOF in the coconut range with the 50 extra points voucher yesterday, but it only added one set of 50 points onto my card! Should I have printed off two vouchers? (does it even let you do that?!) As you may be able to tell, Ive got some Boots Tart training still to do!!0 -
moneypennyless wrote:When did you all get the easter mailings with the revlon offer? I have received my 1st mailing for a while, this morn, and it just has double points voucher in, with 1000 points voucher if £75 is spent online, with a few extra points vouchers on things I dont buy such as pampers nappies, sandwich, hair removel goods. The only thing I will be using out of this will be the double points voucher, and problaly give the pampers one to my mate whos just had a baby. I fancy the Revlon quad make up especially with the 300 points off, but if you can get £2 off the price aswell, its a great buy
Just wanted to check - how do get onto the list for these mailings - is it the parent club, as some of these offers seem quite good, but not just for parents ( apart from the nappies..) or do these offers go out to evryone with an advantage card? I am not above inventing a kid for some extra bonus points...0
