Its horrible isn't showergirl. Happened to me last year and I know i was panicing like mad. My card was used with small amounts first but then they tried a large amount and it was picked up and when I next went to pay for something online my phone rang immediately. I was then asked for security details (which I did not give but agreed to call them back which I did??) and then they confirmed that my card had been cloned. We got it all sorted BUT it was picked up from ancestory search done against my name.

Glad your daughter is OK and things got sorted.
I remember this and I know you had an awful time trying to get this sorted.

They had wipe out all the money she had in her account as well as her overdraft. She was upset on the phone but is ok now. I have just rang her and she is busy doing work for her uni course.

Poor kid doesn't need this. Things are stressful enough this being her final year at uni.

I haven't been able to concentrate on anything so worried for her.

Glad she is ok now though

    Evening all!
Sorry to hear about this, Showergirl. That's really bad. The trouble is chip 'n' pin still isn't very safe. Not going into details, but it is very easy to rig up a system to the terminal that intercepts the data between the card and the terminal. It's a massive security flaw if you know what you're doing.
Is everyone else ok? Had quite a busy day at work today! :D

Are you allow to bath just as you're engaging in conversation with me?! :rotfl: lol!
Truly awful what happened, some people just don't have any scrupals. Whatever happened to integrity and pride? I just hope it doesn't affect her credit rating in the future for house buying. :(
No Baileys tonight, I'm trying to keep a straight mind! :D But seeing as you've reminded me..... One wont hurt! :A ;)
