  • What a morning I 've had.

My daughter rang to tell me there was money missing from her account, in fact she was overdrawn.

When I calmed her down I told her to ring her bank and find out what was going on.

She went into her branch and spoke to a lovely person. they told her to leave it with them.

They have just rang her and have told her that her card had been cloned they have cancelled her card and refunded all the money back to her account.

She was in a right state when she rang.

I have told her to check the machines when she withdraws any money in case they have those devices fitted so they can take your details.

It is scary and I must admit when your in a hurry you don't think to check the machine.

So pleased she got this sorted though

Its horrible isn't showergirl. Happened to me last year and I know i was panicing like mad. My card was used with small amounts first but then they tried a large amount and it was picked up and when I next went to pay for something online my phone rang immediately. I was then asked for security details (which I did not give but agreed to call them back which I did??) and then they confirmed that my card had been cloned. We got it all sorted BUT it was picked up from ancestory search done against my name.

Glad your daughter is OK and things got sorted.
