Hi, New to all this, not sure where to create a post?
Appologies if this is incorrect, could probably do with some help on how to use this site
I was reading the posts about Welcome Finance and, well please read what I thought I had posted there.

Hi, First time I have posted.
I have a personal loan and car loan with Welcome, I will be trying to claim back the PPI missold to me also the charges they have applied to the accounts for the phone calls and letters etc
My question is, how do I stand if I stop paying them while they sort out any refund of the accounts?
I think off the top of my head the car loan has approx £800 left to pay and the loan approx £2500.
Well that is according to me if they work it out it will be a lot more no doubt.
How do we fight it if they just say it is vaild? I have read the posts and think I understand the letter and resasonable length of time to respond, what action can we take if they do not resond with the correct information requested?
If they cannot provide the original copy of the agreement does that mean the agreement is void?
I was a little worried but after reading these posts and realised they seem to be a bunch of crooks, it looks like I will have a fight on my hands.
I would be greatful for any comments.

Hello Graham and welcome.

Even though Sharpdeath have given you the correct links for posting your ppi reclaim matter (thank you Sharpdeath anyway);), do not worry I will try to help you here while your here also.;)

Personally I would still continue to pay your repayments while your going through the reclaim.

You do not have to worry about writing down the figures on your letter but the calculations will come in handy in case of an offer etc.
So in this case they should be able to provide you with a full written detailed breakdown of calculations, you will possibly have to request for these though.

They have 8 weeks as from your date on your letter or from when they receive your letter of complaint, so I would post by recorded delivery, as this would be your proof of posting, and you can track this down on the Royal mail website.

Just as long as you have an account number you can continue to reclaim, they may however send you a copy of your agreement on their first response, but otherwise enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment in another letter to request for this, and they have 12 days, again post by recorded delivery.

You actually write to the ones who arranged and sold you the loan.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

He has lots of memberships here and there and I cannot keep up, I know one of the sites is scoobynet I think..........mag wise not sure.

Its lethal out there........:eek:, most schools did not reopen, and the ones that had they sent home, my sister who works for the police her daughter attends the school not far from me, she rang from work to check on the situations with the school, as she could not get through to them, and luckily with them sending them home, my sister was also allowed to finish early.;)

Funny you should say that as my sister works as an ambulance tech and will have to stay at a work mates house tonight as she can't get home. I think the schools will be closed all week now. The snow will be worse tomoz! It was funny seeing the dogs walking around in it and there was a fox jumping around in it as well! :rotfl: X

The snow is really bad here, have been out helping push neighbours cars off their drives. Supposed to be off today but have been put on stand by in case we are short staffed.

I phoned my boss and told him I wouldn't be in. He replied it's a bit obvious! :rotfl: How you going to get in to work if the roads are blocked? :cool:
