Yes a pot noodle is a great solution, I was at first going to say a bowl of soup but that means more washing up lol.....:rotfl:
Glad you managed to get through the dishes though:T lmao...or should I say forks pmsl :rotfl::rotfl:.

Tell your OH as soon as he is well, he can make up for it lol :D

    Oh he will :D

To his credit he normally does do the dishes almost every day with minimal whining (much less whining than if I have to do it anyway :p)

At least with him being sick I get the computer all to my self :T

My OH has man flu  and I am going to have to wash the dishes and cook tea :(

I don't mind cooking but I really, really despise, abhor and despair at doing dishes! (I blame my mum for this...she bought a dishwasher before I was born so I didn't know any other way of life untill the dishwasher broke down when I was 11 and was never replaced....it was a nightmare!)

And I immediately regretted moaning about loading the dishwasher because washing dishes is a million times worse! :p

Anyway...what does everyone else do to make washing dishes less of a chore?

Please ....give me something to make me want to get off the computer and into the kitchen! ;)

Oh Melorablack you have given in to temptation your OH magic has worked, now you have started it will never stop, dishes, clearing up, next it will be OH undies on floor, towels on floor in bathroom. This is the steep slippery slope to being trained into domesticity.

Stop now, get help there must be an AA type of help group the FFH Freedom from Housework group is starting near you soon. Tee Hee.:rotfl:
Good Luck and hope OH gets over mans flu quick. Mind you noticed in the Mail today that men actually do suffer worse with flu etc. Now they know it is the beginning of the end.:p

Maybe it's true and it's natures way of trying to even up the complete unfairness that is periods and childbirth? ;) Someone should tell nature that it doesn't even come close :p

Hi folks, hope all are well today.;)

I have an update on hubby employment issues.......

The new contract are delayed with the Road Construction contract........but........

He had a call today from where he worked in the steelplant from one of the Managers, as this has been taken over by a new company as the last one went into administration Dec 2007 (the manager is still onsite with the new company), looks like my hubby will be returning back there in August, they are currently having a new roof, which have just started, but its all hopeful now at last.

However, he will of course start with this contract to go on with when they are ready, as its only for a few months anyway, then maybe it will all be in good time for his return to the steel works.:T
12 hours shifts again with double backs from nights to afternoons, they have a full weekend off every few weeks.

Thought I would update you, I will miss him, but it needs to be done.:T

    Thank you Mel.:A;)

Its been a right tough time, he did find jobs after that (when the plant closed down suddenly), but all only either contracts or again job losses afterwards, it drove him more or less to the edge, but today its the biggest smile I have seen on him in ages.;)

    Will keep you posted.;)X
