If you squint it makes more sense bNzVjPp.gif Its like those 3D magic eye pics that I can never do.

He trying to say its 1600 next stop. Every other low in sequence would lead to that number soon presuming it does fall

Took some BP, its bouncing a bit. Probably like bowling on ice right now. 450 potential top then 430.
FTSE is pretending to be strong, such a player

Japanese Candlesticks is just snakes and ladders. Red is a snake, green is a ladder and you start at the top or bottom as per the game.

    Trend lines are just number sequences. 3 6 12 15 21 24

Basically the TA idea is use a ruler and place on highs or lows and see if it helps point anywhere in future.
The red green rollercoaster at the bottom Im trying to wonder if that makes sense my self.
[See how in latest months, the price drops but below the red dips are getting shallower, ascending even (use ruler). This is bullish, like when 20 people sell at 15p and 10 at 12p, its lower but with less consensus]

CAD spread was 4% earlier and its 10% now.
900k vol on this rise, which is double since my above post. 12.50/14p or 14% rise now

    Its a start at least

GPS settled, a new investor onboard and now a positive RNS, whatever next? well it finally looks like the board are pushing this share after 18 months of (what appeared) to be negative spin. I expected a jump in the share price on the open but the SP has fallen?
    PR Newswire
    London, February 20

CADOGAN PETROLEUM PLC OPERATIONS UPDATE In the first half of 2012, the Company finalised a complete overhaul of its technical operations and sub-surface explorations teams, bringing in over 120 years combined experience in major IOCs, and under their supervision has undertaken a thorough re-evaluation of its assets. The bulk of this work is now completed and the Company has revised its list of targets for its short to medium-term plan of activity with the focus on reducing risk and maximising the production potential of its licences.
The Company has been able to identify new and economically viable exploration and production potential in most of its existing licences.
The deep and challenging exploration targets in the Eastern Lower Carboniferous play were unsuccessful since the discovered reservoirs lacked adequate petrophysical properties for successful production. In particular, in Zag 11, the Company completed its testing of the main producing reservoirs (V24-V19-V18-V17) and although the presence of hydrocarbons was evident, insufficient commercial quantities of gas were encountered due to the inadequate properties of the tested intervals.
In order to better understand the existing exploration opportunities and fully evaluate the assets, Cadogan has applied state-of-the-art seismic reprocessing technology.
In Pokrovska, these efforts have already proven successful, helping to identify three shallow depth prospects (1,400 m average), two mid-depth prospects (2,000 m average) and 3 deep prospects (4,700 m average).
In West Ukraine, three shallow depth leads have also been identified within the Debeslavetska licence.
Analysis of the Company's assets continues and is expected to be complete within the next three months. In the meantime the Company has undertaken marginal, low risk and low capex activities to enhance production and support the incremental provision of information to the Company's asset review.
On the Monastereska licence in Western Ukraine a sucker rod pump was installed in the Blazhiv 1 well, which is showing positive results. The re-entry of another two existing wells is under evaluation.
An intervention in the Borynya 3 well (Bitlyanska), in order to perform a long production test on the shallower reservoirs (interval from 2,000 m down to 3,200 m) and eventually start-up early production, is ongoing. This program is due to commence by mid-2013.
In Zag 3 an intervention to open the V19 level to production will be concluded by the end of February. An extension of the upper V18 interval was also performed.
In 2013 the Company will investigate the applicability of the InSAR technology (radar wave measurements from satellites) to monitor shallow gas fields' depletion through time. The first test will be in the Debeslavetska area; in conjunction with the revised geo-mechanical models, this is expected to reduce the drilling risk for future wells in our production licences. The Company also expects to apply micro-seismic technology to the Bitlyanska area to further evaluate future gas production and its relative impact in the area.
In general, the identified objectives are gas and oil bearing and belong to shallow, medium and deep horizons. New, promising areas for investment are already under scrutiny and the Company will report on these in due course.

    About time, too
I expected a jump in the share price on the open but the SP has fallen?
It may be that the markets will take time to be convinced and any small rise that there might have been has been overshadowed by the general market fall today?
  • here we go! I set up limit buys on all my sells after I safeguarded the profits and 3 have been bought back after triggering, much more for less money. Now I sit and wait patiently for the others and ukx, ukx was never going to go up through resistance on strength, some very feeble attempts but only to drag in yet more sheep. All limit buys were set up following TA and my charts. By the way I do like the biggies, have you ever tried to sell a small company in a hurry?
  • Kittie..why start buying back today when you only sold a few days ago?surely with charges etc not worth it.why not just temporarily short/hedge??

I don`t just buy back, I set limit buys ie a target price often on support, then those that reach target get bought for me automatically. Re charges, yes it is very worth while me buying like this, each bought stock is now £800+ in profit after all charges. My methods work very well, sipp is now worth 60% more than 5 years ago. I do tend to go for a good spread of assets and have a core of good income producers eg standard chartered perps with a yield of 12% and its capital increase is 24%. nationwide yield about 8% capital increases of 24% and 8%, I bought a good holding of more like those when people were dumping them. I am a contrarian and for that it is best to stay away from forums, learn TA to a high standard, make your decisions, then stay away and get on with life. So much better than when I was day trading

Clairbear I want to emphasise that all my decisions are made via TA in a detached manner, bearing in mind that I vested the sipp and risk factor is pretty low. I have to add that I don`t deal in small amounts
  • Hi kittie..I assumed you panic sold your entire shares after FTSE dropped 150 points end of January and therefore seemed strange to start buying back Today(FTSE at exactly same level as back then) I am suprised that if you buy stable/yielding shares they are markedly cheaper Today.Personally I would have waited as a decent pullback due or hedged them therefore no requirement to keep buying/selling.Best of Luck clairbear
