Help please with cancelling O2?
I would be very grateful for some advice if anyone could help. I have just taken on a O2 simplicity contract in order to get a free Motorola W377 currently offered on the E2Save website. It seemed a reasonable phone for my young teenager. I would like to cancel the contract as soon as possible and use a sim card on an exisiting contract in the phone.
I have spoken to E2Save and O2 and am getting differing stories about when I can cancel. Does anyone know how these things work? Ideally I would like to cancel now and end the contract after a month hence only paying one months simplicity contract fee of £20.
I think I might have to wait a month and then give 30 days notice on the contract so will have to pay for 2 months. Does anyone know if that is true? O2 also said that as I'm within the 14 days I can cancel straight away but I suspect that might be against E2Save's T&C and maybe they would then want me to pay for the phone? Can anyone here clarify for me? Thanks.

What are the T&C for both...?If you will the end, you must will the means.0

I've looked at the T&C on the E2Save website and pages later am none the wiser - I suspect it is my ignorance.NCW0

well the T&C will state clearly what your options are. You need to review them, and as a suggestion, in future you need to read and understand the T&C of any contract before entering into it, or they'll just have you over a barrel when it comes to something like thisIf you will the end, you must will the means.0

If it's a 30 day contract contact o2 and cancel with them. It'll ovbiously run for another 30 days.
If you use the 14 day cooling off period then e2save may expect the phone back too. After 14 days it has nothing to do with e2save, so just contact o2 now and say you only need it for a few weeks hence the cancellation.0 -

Aren't e2save part of the Carphone Warehouse Group? If so I think they act as a middle man for o2 and the OP may not be able to deal with o2 directly. Although on Simplicity directly from o2, 30days notice is correct.
I believe with CPWH you have to get a special code that they will only issue on the Sabbath and it must be issued to a one of their agents in writing (probably in your best Esparnato) to an undisclosed address. (which may or may not drag things out a little)My farts hospitalize small children0 -
T's and C's will clarify. Also when you got this phone I have a suspicion that e2save also included a month's free insurance and a month of their gadget helpline free. After the first month they charge £5.99 for the insurance and £2.99 for the gadget helpline!!0
