yes, it costs 20p to join in!

I am sinking to new lows....... I put an odd £10.60p in my petrol tank just to be sure of getting at least one 20p. But my total has increased!

Hi :santa2: and welcome to in-trouble - good to have you on board!! :T

Sams247 - that is cunning 20p saving...I never thought of putting the odd 60p inthe tank (but you can bet I will be doing it from now on...!!:rotfl:).

Bridetobe2006 - haven't been on here for a few days myself (the run up to Christmas seems to leave less time for surfing - how inconvenient that work expect me to...well, work...during the hours I'm in the office at the moment - don't they realise I have MSE-ing to do!?!). Well done on the 8 pounds :j - I agree that 20ps seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment (I've gained another 1.40 in the last few days) - not at all like the elusive 2 pound coins - they're more like giant pandas...or dodos!!! :p

Off to update my signature now...

I'd like to join, but we already save our 20p coins for the carparking machines. We do save 5p coins, and have two jars for copper and a cup for those elusive £2.00 coins, so can I be an associate member please?

well, I'm over the £5......... got two more yesterday. Standing at checkout, bill is £20.20, cashier asks if you've got the odd 20p....... do you hand it over? I did but felt resentful! Ah, the seasonal spirit.

Hi Sheralee - welcome to the club! :santa2:

I've gained another 40p since I last posted, which means I can fill another bag and whack them in the bank...and start again in the smartie tube!

I reckon I might have to ask Santa for a new tube of smarties for Christmas - I've re-used this one tube so many times now that its begining to look a bit tatty. When does "money-saving" turn into "tight"...?!?! :p

Sams247 - thats a tough question... I think I'd probably hand it over, but it would be really grudgingly, and only because I'd be convinced that if I said "no", the cashier would know I was fibbing!! :o (Personally, when I get one, I tend to drop it into a little pocket in the side of my handbag straight away, rather than put it into my purse - that way I can avoid having to lie if I'm asked if I have 20p in my purse!!;)).

Have a good weekend, everybody... :D
