£2 savers club: £60!0 -
Hi GettingThingsDone and stevenshell :hello: - welcome to the 20p savers club...just keep a tally in your signature and keep popping back on here to tell us how you're doing... Nice to have you on board!
I've done quite well over the weekend - got another £1.60 so the smartie tube is filling up... :T
However, (and this bit is quite momentous!:p), I have decided to spend some of them on a Christmas pressie for Mr P, so as of tomorrow I am going to be £60.00 poorer in the 20p fund. Don't want to say what I'm buying (as I know he sometimes lurks on the boards and he knows who I am!) but I am pretty convinced that he will love it and he hasn't asked for it, so it will be a surprise on Christmas morning!!
I know my signature said that I was saving for a "me" treat, but having decided this, I am much happier than I would be spending the cash on myself - for the past few years we haven't had too much spare cash to flash at Christmas, so have tended to do very small token gifts for each other, so the thought that I can get him something I know he'll love this year is making me really happy...!! :j :j :j

Thanks piglet6.
I think I'm going to have to wait until next Christmas before I'll have enough 20p's to spend on the OH! Nice thought though

I'm up to a healthy £9 now, I'm also saving 50p's as well but I sometimes use them  but somehow I'm not tempted to use my 20p's or £2 coins.0

Hello, can I join in? I was going to be uber ambitious and go with the £2 savings, but going to be realistic and start with small steps!

:hello: Hi sams247 - of course you can join in...everybody's welcome here!!!
(And Wagamama's is yummy - definitely worth saving for!). Have you joined the Wagamama's mailing list? You often get offers on there for a free side order or a 2 for 1 main course or free drinks...every little helps!
I've gained 6 more 20ps in the last few days, so that takes me over the £10 mark again - time to bag 'em up and take it to the bank again...:T

P.S. Just in case anyone's wondering why my total is still so high, I am still planning to spend them, but had a slight hiccup when I went to buy the pressie for Mr P - it was the last one in the shop and the box had been opened and stuck back down (badly!) with sellotape - looked awful and like it was a factory second! Am going back when they get more stock in!0 -
Whoo hoo, I hit the £10 mark a few days ago and have now bagged that up. So I now have £10.20 - I think I'll bank that and my 50p's on Saturday.:T0
