I'm now up to £7.60 - I just looked at your signature Piglet and see that you're saving for a 'me treat', I don't know what i'm saving for at the moment....ummmmm.
I'll give an update as soon as I've thought of something, but I think that it may have to go towards bills as I'm being made redundant and my last day at work will be 22nd Nov a few days before my 30th birthday  (I just didn't fancy being there after my birthday, so I'm leaving a week earlier).0 -
Hi Tesscha
Sorry to hear about the redundancy  (I know from personal experience how manky that can feel!). I hope you're going to get a nice redundancy package...;) Also, I don't blame you for not wanting to be there for your birthday - its bad enough having to work on your birthday anyway, but particularly if you know they won't want you soon afterwards. I hope things pick up for you and you find a better job with lots more money soon!
As far as the "me treat" is concerned, its just a bit of a get-out clause because I have no idea what to spend it on (and the bigger the total gets, the harder I'm finding it!). I suspect it will get spent around Christmas (I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, so if thats successful I would love something new to wear!). On the other hand, I might just spend it and buy Mr P something nice for Christmas (I know thats not really a "me" treat, but I enjoy buying things for him when I can afford it, so it would make me happy, if that makes sense?).
Failing that, there's always the January sales... (we don't normally have much money left by then, so usually end up giving them a miss - so it could be a whole new experience for us!!:rotfl: ).
Piglet
P.S. Got 4 more 20ps over the weekend - onwards and upwards! :T0 -
Hi Piglet,
Yes it is crappy that I'm being made redundant, but at least I'm getting a little bit of money out of it (only 4 years statutory pay at £290 per year). So that will only last me 1 month and 1 week if I don't find another job. Luckily I have Mr T to help out, but he's panicking more than I am
I think I'll use my money for January sales as I'm usually envious of all the bargains that I can't afford.
I'm off to update my signature now as I've just found 20p in my pocket.
Ciao

Can I join? I'm already saving the £2 coins and I now have £1.20 in 20 pence pieces.
I'm a bit confused about the signiture editing thing, but I think I've managed to do it right.
I haven't been registered very long and already by just reading the other posts, etc, I'm learning to be disciplined with money more than I have ever been! :j
Thank you all of you! You are a blessing!£2.00 Coin Savers Club - £10.00 :j

Give Mr T a huge hug, Tess - fingers crossed that things will work out well for you both (I remember we were both so scared when I was made redundant, because it was a "secure" job with a big investment bank and had seemed so solid!) - luckily, something better turned up just in time to keep us afloat, and we managed to get through it - will pray that this happens for you, too!;)
Welcome, Nod Off and Marian (Marian, you seem to have got the hang of the signature thingy just fine!:p).
Gilly, good luck with the car tax - I saved £2s earlier this year to cover our car tax. I finally did it with one month to spare...but at times it seemed such a "dull" thing to be saving for, and it made me feel really quite miserable! However, having just paid for the car tax at the end of October (and not having had to dip into the bank account to do so!), I can honestly say it is worth it, so hang on in there!!!:D
Nice to see so many new faces on this thread - hope you all decide to stick around!:j :T :j :T :j
