Thats a bit long winded, if you have one, just ask the network manager who should be able to tell you, if he cant then hes not doing much good is he.

Not many small schools have a dedicated NM on site... many have a part-time one (I know of one guy locally who splits his time between 4 schools). Some don't have any IT support - a teacher or two take the job on. This may be why the OP chose to ask on here.

Yes my answer is long winded, but it's the first step I would take if I were in that situation

Failing that, a cgi web proxy site (google it) if they're not already all blocked....
  • We are small school - 66 kids! No IT technician - I am IT co-ordinator (no one else would do it!), I know a bit about computers, but nothing about networks!

I attached the comp to the network all afternoon whilst I was teaching, pressing refresh occasionally on IE, then at about 4pm it connected to the internet!

Any ideas!?!?!? Just seems very strange to me.

Thanks for all your replies by the way.

    Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.
