    That is brilliant news!! I love recovery drivers......... :D:D:D

    But bear in mind all that has been said re timing belt! If you intend to keep it - I personally would start saving up to have it done at some point well before 10yrs or 100k!! It really isn't worth it. And genuine Ford cam belt kits are not that dear.

    Or at least in a couple of pay days........ 02 sensors aren't cheap!

    that is good news then. how the hel did the breakdown company get it so wrong? a quick check would have said the belt was fine. maybe he was a bit stupid and couldnt find the fault so decided to just lie about it,rather than admit he didnt know.
    as everyone else has said get the belt done asap, it should cost around £150 for the belt to be changed and tensioner. (maybe a little more if you use the dealership.)
    ...work permit granted!
