I use foxit reader for all my pdf's as Adobe is huge and likes to take over p.c's.

I've just tried editing a pdf and it worked.......0 -
You cant edit a pdf with Acrobat Reader. You need Acrobat or look at these threads below for free pdf creators and editors

Foxit reader marks all pages if you edit them because it is evaluation software0 -
Try using http://www.primopdf.com/:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i have tried this still cant edit it. the document was originally created in quark by someone else and then saved as a pdf file. should i be able to edit the pdf file or do i have to get quark?0 -
Odds are high you might need quark. Even with full pdf creation software its hard to substantially edit pdfs once they have been created. You can touch up the odd thing, but major changes almost always mean you need to edit the source document and re-pdf it.
Haven't used primopdf though, only the official adobe pdf maker/reader.stay lucky!

Not all pdf files can be edited due to the documents security settings. If you open the document and then do File, Document Properties and then look at the Security Tab you should get more info about that document. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I did this. everything is allowed and there is no security set. so what do i do next?0 -
Does it have to remain a pdf file? If not go to edit choose copy to clipboard and paste into a word document, edit in there.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
