Thing wiggling in fresh cod from Morrisons

I have just got back from morrisons with a small piece of cod 'freshly prepared'. i was about to cook it with some veg that i prepared earlier to freeze for my young son when i noticed an inch long clearish/white worm type thing wriggling in it. it was too late to take it back tonight so i rang morrisons and they said to return it tomorrow. i do not want another fish from them as it has made me feel ill and the veg i prepared my son will now be wasted. I will be making a special journey to return it tomorrow.
Anybody have any advice on whether i should pursue this other than returning the fish for a refund?

Was it the worm used to catch it by chance?

Why would the veg go to waste? I thought you said you had it frozen?0

Just wondering, did they sell elvers as well? it might be a little one that escaped and found your cod?0

I've noticed worm in cod before think it can happen quite often, not very nice but think you will only get money back0

In reply the veg i have is not frozen, i have bulk cooked it in order to freeze it with the fish. The amount i have cooked will not get eaten now so most of it will go to waste. Just annoyed that i have wasted money.now mum of 4!!!0

Freeze the veg anyway and then add cooked chicken or leftover sunday lunch meat, make some mashed potato and have a hash - I do this quite often, would never throw it away as it would be a waste - doesn't have to be a waste of money, just add something else to it;)0 -
i cooked the veg at lunchtime and it is in the fridge now, will it still be ok to freeze tomorrow. thanksnow mum of 4!!!0
