    A Remoska would also be good in this situation. Would have been more economical to use for the full three weeks, but you basically chuck everything in and it works like a mini-oven. I love mine!

    get a steamer . you can do everything in their virtually chicken steamed is beautiful and healthy !!

    could you not get a portable fridge whilst your at it .. keep some bits in

    They seem so expensive for what they are, especially as we'd get a proper fridge in a couple of weeks - even can fridges seem expensive. I asked on freecycle and we've been unlucky so far btu will keep trying :)

    Have you tried borrowing a camping stove and say replace the gaz when you hand it back?
    if you could get to the freezer then some freezer packs and a cool bag could be your fridge

    i know what its like mine was like a bomb site for a month but luckly mum had old camping stove....

    Things like pasta can be cooked in a thermos (preferably wide mouthed or it may be fun getting it out again) Add pasta + boiling water. Make sure you leave room for the pasta to expand and take up water - fresh pasta works best but you can do dried stuff too only you may need to check more and adjust as necessary.

  • if i was you i go to Argos or anywhere that's sells a camp stove only £10. their is one with a single burner and just as powerful as a home hob. then u can do sir Fry's in a wok only costs £3 from most supermarkets, with a pressure cooker you can do stews, veg, soups and meat. or with your pans anything you want. buy a washing up bowl and some washing up liquid and use your normal plates and cutlery as well by useing your kettle.

    if you have a microwave, google micro meals it will come up with loads. I always make a jam sponge in microwave and its lovely, not so good though if you eating healthily. Most veg you can do in a microwave and certain meats you can too. Im sorry i dont have time to search for you but didnt want to read and run. hth
