just come back from shopping. Had a good and bad experience today. Will start off with the bad one. Went into asda (not local one as stock there is limited) to buy some of the £2 quantum finish tablets. Put 5 in the trolley...and noticed another lady buying 1, so couldn't help myself but give her 1 of my coupons. She was so grateful and said "are you sure you dont need this?" nah, i replied i had plenty. felt so good to give away a coupon. Anyway carried on shopping for the newborn huggies and had to find a sa to get them for me (took ages to find one as none in sight). Could not reach the nappies as they were on the top shelf, far back. Was contemplating nabbing a step ladder, but after reading the accidents ple have had on here, thought it was not a good idea. So I bought 4 nappies (all that were left on shelf) and voila they all dated 03/2010, but on at full price - 4.98.

Got to the till and sa said he wasn't sure about the finish coupons as all 5 were photocopies. called the supervisor over who said she was not sure n had to check it out with customer services as no manager around at 8pm. queue was building up. I politely explained they were all legit and I had bought 5 quantums...but they were not having it claiming they have to be manufacture ones - in colour and this is what cs have said. Fine I said, just take them off the shopping. sa took all of them off and lost one of my coupons. He and supervisor started blaming each other for misplacing my coupon. Then stupid s.visor said maybe there were only 4 coupons. Now I was losing my patience I said "no, there were definitely 5. I even bought 5 packs of tablets"! They looked and looked but could not find it. Some scally from the queue shouted "just photocopy one - lol" I just ignored them. I paid for the rest of my nappies. Then had to queue up at cs, after 10 mins, they photocopied me 2 and handed them back. What a palava! Not my local either - had to drive 3 miles out. On the plus side the nappies came to £1 each box from the reduced £3 (asda cud not b bothered to price them properly). The shelf label said they retaild at £4.98 for a starter box. Calculated I have £36.40 in vouchers (yipppeee) as some of the vouchers were used to pay for the nappies. wonder what happened to the lady I gave my voucher to......

Tesco trip; none of my fav sa were about and I picked on a young looking lad who took the vouchers and said "these are for something else". I smiled back and confidently explained tesco's national policy. he gladly took them and I paid 99p for a £4.10 shop. Also picked up a till spit/split for £1 off when i spend £5 in the freezer section(not sure what the right word is as ple on here seem to use both - spit/split - LOL). I was sooo happy. Shame the stock is limited otherwise i would get my finish tablets from here. Oh well........not a bad shopping trip after all!!!

Presumably, it will take 15p off the rest of your shopping...try the sweets/confectionery aisle, there are usually things there to make up the difference.
(I haven't done the Sainsbury's run yet...so if anyone knows different, please post and correct me;))

As an aside, when one of my local Tescos started a silly rule of one coupon for each item you bought.....I ended up buying [STRIKE]shed loads[/STRIKE] bags full of haribu horrible sticky sweets. They were only 6p a bag, and meant I could carry on using higher value (even 15p:p and 25p coupons)
10 items and 60p on sweets meant 20 coupons could be used.... they soon realised it was a silly rule

Having read todays thread on the Finish DW tablets being £1.80 in Sainsbury I thought I would try my luck. I bought 18 boxes together with a few other items and when I got to the checkout I asked first if it would be OK to use my £2.00 coupons. After checking with a supervisor I was told yes as long as I didn't have more coupons than product. The SA proceeded to put all items through and then when she scanned the first coupon announced that I couldn't get £2.00 back on a £1.80 spend so I pointed out that I had bought other items. She then called over a supervisor again who then had to call another supervisor and after a lot of debate they decided they could only give me £1.80 per coupon so they got pen and paper and proceed to try to work out how much that amounted to. This was then imputed into the till manually. I pointed out that Sainsburys would be making an extra 20p per coupon when they came to redeem them but they were adamant that this was what should be done.

Although I had an extremely good bargain and am very grateful for what I can get, I did feel slightly aggrieved that they could be so petty.

Anyway, seem to have bought a lot of dishwasher tablets lately (including the Fairy ones) so decided to work out exactly what I had stored in my cupboard - 2 YEARS SUPPLY! I just cannot resist a bargain. I think I had better give some to friends and family.

    Thank you for your email.
During National Bread Week a limited number of competition entrants will be offered a 25p voucher.
Sorry you were not lucky this time but perhaps you will be lucky with the £1000 competition.

Apparently you can enter up to 5 times per day so may be worth keep trying
