So from "we only take shopsafe internet coupons" to "we don't take internet coupons" to "we'll take what you've got"
Phew, I thought my couponing days were over for a while
Also used 2 Cravendale coupons cos I actually bought the product
T's is back in my good books:D
Hi there, it's great to hear, Tescos really are all over the place, yesterday I was told one coupon only, where not buying product, as a goodwill gesture( which when you think about it doesn't make much sense as you could just divide your shopping up into lots, and if they are happy to take one, knowing they will get back the money from the manufacturers, why not more?) then I talked (very nicely as advised by you fellow couponners) to the Customer Services Manager and showed him the copy of their policy off this website and he agreed that the policy as written was his understanding of what they would take, even said they would take conditional spend coupons from M&S, but he said he would check what the other managers thought...so unless I write to the Top Manager as suggested earlier, i still won't get a definitive answer... sometimes I get really great cashiers who say "yeah, what other coupons have you got, let's try them all! " At the moment I will maybe try another Tescos and I will continue to avoid the trout (early in the morning seems to be a preponderance of old trouts, evenings better, seem to get more young guys..)0 -

I've used them plenty of times, but if you dont want it I'll have it, lolLive for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.
never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.0 -

I therefore meandered between the aisles making a mental note of essentials for today and declined to purchase anything
That's so cool, I have also been "casing the joint" but only when I already have a full trolley and so it's actually too late and yesterday I got really stuck as it was old trout city, and they were not busy, and one of them was waving at me to come to them and I had to pretend I had forgotten something and I am starting to feel really furtive and odd and keep thinking I am going to be surrounded by store detectives and pushed to the ground (yeh I should be so lucky), but it does spice up the boring shopping routine.... anyway, no luck yesterday, got a young old trout, one of those conscientous girls who obviously listen in team briefings..... but I still think they are not applying the national policy correctly, I think they see the bit about one voucher and think, one voucher, but it really means only one of each voucher i.e. you can't use lots of identical vouchers...gosh, I've really got a bee in my bonnet this morning, must go out and do deep breathing or something...0 -

That's gotta be the best collective noun ever for describing a group of old biddy Tesco cashiers.
I can see it catching on!:rotfl:
Now that's got me on the subject of the English language, I decided to change my signature to try to stamp out (on some parts of MSE at least) a really annoying wrongly-used phrase.
Whilst there's a quiet weekend on the coupon front, does anyone else want to join me in rambling on about bad English that makes them mad?!!
No? I'll get my coat...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
