Anyone else noticed that most of the channels all have advert breaks at the same time?

Coincidence? Or evidence of a higher galactic power controlling out frteeview boxes?

This is due to how stations are fed to providers of Digital Television. Nothing sinister there

Yes. It means that when the adverts come on, if you take a quick look through the other channels to see if there's anything better on, all you get is more adverts. Very annoying!

Could be that most channels have adverts say at quarter past and half past and quarter to and on the hour. so when one comes on at roughly 15 minutes past some of the others are already into it and the others are coming up to it. Although I think this is different with american channels. But I could be totally wrong, just something I just thought up.

I record about 80% of all programs in order that I can skip ads on playback. PVRs are great for this.
