6630 chargers??
Hi
I today discovered this old phone but cannot find the charger for it.
Here is my question...I have tried 2 other Nokia chargers in the phone but it refuses to charge, does anybody know if I need an original charger or is it the battery that has gone kaput (it has been about 18 months since I last charged it)??
Many Thanks

Could be loose connection in the charger or phone or battery could have died.
It could be anything really.
If you have a USB cable for it, plug that it into your pc and see if it charges - that would rule out the battery fault.
There are cheap chargers available and no doubt batteries on ebay if you search for "6630 charger" - beware though some of the cheap chargers or useless in the extreme (i.e. stop working, made in china somewhere without proper regulations from my experience).0 -
If the chargers work on another phone, it's prob a dead battery. Batteries do degrade over time, especially when they are left with power in them for long periods.
IMO, no major difference between genuine and non-genuine chargers. They either work or they don't. Genuine ones have a better build quality. With batteries, I'd only go genuine.0 -
the charger for the nokia 6230 and 6230i and several other nokia phones works fine i have just tested one so if thats the type of charger you are useing then it should work.0
