Absolute rubbish, Freeview is not broadcast in HD.0 -
So if the TV's internal upscaler is better than the one in the HDMI Freeview box, the HDMI Freeview box provides no advantage
I wouldn't say no advantage, if it's upscaling from scart it's still going through an analogue step, which isn't ideal. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
apologies about my other post, i obviously got mixed up with freeview and freesat. i knew what i was on about
lol.
have a look here http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=whatson.Main
you can receive a few HD channels through Freesat as long as you buy the HD Freesat reciever box,and have a satelite dish to use it with, the Sky dishes are more than capable of recieving:)Old Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -

A " few " means one part time BBC channel, sporadic HD programmes on ITV and one commercial HD Channel that isn't even part of the Freesat line up, and certainly isn't worth watching....wonderful.:rolleyes:0 -
There is no such thing as a Freeview HD box
Only half true, there are HD DBB-T transmissions in other countries, and presumably set top boxes that can receive them. Why would a HDMI box sold in the UK exclude such a feature?
Also an sufficently fast PC with a DVB-T receiver would be able to receive any Freview HD transmission which may be made in the future.0 -

No, it's completely true. DBB-T transmissions in other countries are not Freeview. There is no such thing as a Freeview HD box. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Does anyone know what could be wrong with the digital thats built in the TV? When I go into menu and select Digital TV it just shows up as a blank screen. One moment we were watching freeview TV and the next nothing

Try retuning it. If not, then try reloading factory settings.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

You don't live on the south coast by any chance?
There was a retune announcement for the 25th March if you live in these areas

A retune is worth a try anyway.0
