currently gas homecare agreement - £25 per month combined to service once per year and for call outs if anything goes wrong. 1 - fire only and the other central heating service. is there a better deal

Get a local Corgi Registered person in to Service yor boiler annually, and cross your fingers. :-)

I had BG 3 star home care or HOME CARE 200 as it's now known, I am about to instal a new heating system through out all comes with 2 year warrenty, I will get a local CORGI to do the service and I will cancel the BG saving me £15.00 per month which adds up to £180 per annum, the saved £180.00 will go into a high interest but easy access savings account, if nothing goes wrong I am making money on the interest and if something goes belly up after two years I will have a small nest egg to fall back on. In 5 years with interest I could easily be looking at a £1000 in the bank, more than enough for a good replacement boiler if the worse should happen.

Remembering the money is in my bank not BG bank. :-)

But with me the money saved wouldn't make it to savings account. that's why I do direct debit.

a service should cost you around £60 plus VAT and parts per annum
