Severn Trent owe us money

I've noticed news stories today about Severn Trent which seem to be backed up by a news item on their own site:
Severn Trent Water
As far as I can see someone tried to siphon approx. £2 million out of the accounts which led to a general overpayment which will be repaid to customers, the next round of statements and bills should have an explanation on them.

From the sketchy details reported today, it seems that ST supplied intentionally misleading financial information to the regulator OFWAT in order to justify the consumer charges from 2004 until 2010.

ST appears to be blaming a single employee for this 'error' rather than company policy.

Sounds highly suspect to me... :undecided

According to Radio 4, it was a whistleblower who went to Ofwat. Nothing much happened till he went to Radio 4 with his story.
    Nice to save.

Thanks for the clarifications - I thought it was better to post the link than try and explain it all myself (badly!)
