Hello!
Dawn, what is the worst thing that could happen if you didn't apply for this job?
Thanks Marru. My current contract ends at the end of July. I have been asked to apply for this job (where I have worked before). I am going to apply because if I didn't it would seem as if i was willingly putting myself out of work - which goes against what I tend to do . Having said that, I am 55, and tbh could do without a stressful ft job - many of my contemporaries / friends are 'retired'. I have a mortgage joint with OH though, and I have the greater earning power. So, till the mortgage is paid off, I will have to do what I can :rolleyes:0 -
Sorry to hear about the troubles on the job-hunting front, Cleosmum. I'm in the middle of it myself, but I've been lucky enough to snag an interview for Primark on Thursday. My sister isn't happy, as it's the same store she works in, and I think she's worried that big sis will ruin her street cred, lol.
Best of luck to everyone looking for a job atm! x *big hugs for all!*£10 a day: March - August: £1653.54/£1840; September £92.86/£300NSD: April - August: 49 NSDs; September: 9/12101 in 1001 Project: 05/07/09 - 01/04/12 (8/101 completed)0 -
Fayj and Dizzydebbs, ironing is illegal? Maybe if i continue to break the law, the police will confiscate my morphy richards and ironing board! Oh dear, what would i do?
:rotfl: Wish they would make ironing illegal .
Anyway enough of my silly chat
.
Good luck to those of you in the job-hunt market. Best of luck with your up-coming interview andrina.
See you all soon. :T0 -

Evening all.
Is anyone else up at this time of night? Busy moping around feeling sorry for myself. Have been a good little DFW since 5th January, and have made so much progress if I think about how I used to be with money. But it's all getting a little stale now, and to be honest very demotivating. Debt's a bloomin' steep hill to climb
Any bright ideas of how to step up the pace? All suggestions gratefully accepted xx

Hi Kate, can you do any overtime or take on another job? Could you have a declutter and car boot it? You are doing really well hun, but it is a steep hill and it does get to you. Maybe you just need to rest a little? Sometimes a rest is good, so long as you dont increase the debt while you rest lol. Have you had a look at the up your income board? Joined challenges that take your fancy? Do you keep a diary on here?0

Thanks for the support Cleosmum. I currently log about 5 hours overtime each week at work, have been doing Avon for 3 campaigns now (although it appears to be costing me at the moment) and am working to set up my own freelance business (in the vain hope that impressing poor paying clients is better than having no clients, lol).
Crikey it's no wonder I'm tired! I have a feeling a little rest may be what is in order. Contrary to the tone of this post I'm not usually a whinging defeatist! lmao! So - to bed with Kage and hopefully a more productive mood will be brought to me by the sleep fairies!
Thanks for the chin up Cleosmum, and I hope you sleep tight xx

Have a good sleep, and remember to stop occasionally and realise that you are doing tons to sort it all out, you are doing good
