Tuesday 14/4/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning lovely dfw's, back to work again today.
Hope you enjoyed your long Easter weekend and managed to get some sunshine.
Hi to all the regular posters, and welcome to any newbies:D,big thanks to Mogchops for starting the thread over the weekend when my modem burnt out:A.

Morning all :j
Glad to hear you are on the mend SM.
Today I have / will:
Check online banking (done)
Phone internet banking helpdesk as I have locked myself out of my accounts, or at least I can't add my new ISA to my online accounts. However, I can still move money around, make payments etc  So if I was a fraud-type person I could take all the money out of my accounts but not add another account to a list
I am sure there is a logic somewhere?
See to animals and plants
Work on scary job application (no I still haven't finished it - closing date is 16th ) I have not though about work at all over the Bank Holiday weekend
Do a bit more housework and gardening
Prepare bathroom floorboards for painting
HM meals from stores
Make some more hot cross buns at urgent request of OH to use up the rest of the ingredients.
That is me for today - sounds like I will be busy
Have a nice day everyone :hello:0 -

Morning everyone
Today is the last day of my holidays (boo hoo). I haven't achieved much of what I wanted to do - oh well! I'm on my new computer and am very impressed - it's great after all having to use a laptop with a separate keyboard for the last 4 months. I have a new rule - food and drink are to come nowhere near the laptop!
I'm off to the shops to pick up a couple of things to help making packed lunches easier. Then my good friends are coming over for the afternoon to watch the NO1 Ladies Detective Agency Pilot as they haven't seen it.
My list of jobs today:- [STRIKE]clean living room before I leave[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]wash up[/STRIKE]
- check bank accounts and update spreadsheets
- [STRIKE]update spending diary[/STRIKE]
- update grocery challenge figures
- vaccum living room, hall and stairs
- finish ironing
- [STRIKE]storecupboard dinner[/STRIKE]
- make up a packed lunch for tomorrow
- [STRIKE]loaf in BM[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]set out clothes for the week to save time in the mornings[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]pack work bag with things I need for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
- face pack and beauty treatments this evening
