Sorry I've obviously missed something here. At which point exactly did the buyer get identified as a definite scammer

It's obviously the in thing at the moment as every thread seems to assume that the other party, whether the buyer or seller is a scammer. Soolin - Ok so not a definite scammer as yet, but the part was in full working order when it left here, if it was suspected as faulty I would have sent it back and claimed on the 30 day warranty cover it had instead of selling it at a loss on ebay. Hubbie is mechanic and tested it was fully operational. Buyer never left any feedback but 3 wks later sends a short email saying the part is broken. When I have the part back I will be be able to id if it is the one I sold. But as the part was to replace a broken one it is possible that it might be swapped and claimed to be faulty. Ok, maybe I'm being unfair but I do know the part was fully working when it left here and packed very well.0
