If you do happen to get sued in the future you will be asked to declare all assets including any cash that is owed to you- you will have to lie??

Even though I have a first class law degree and wrote a lengthy research project on trusts I still took legal advice when setting up trusts for my children and for CGT advice etc.

You are taking big risks when prehaps £5k would have found a foolproof solution to your problem?

They couldn't care less about large cash transactions so long as it goes through things such as the money laundering regs. If you have not done that you have not adhered to the law. If you have, you have left a trail.

The Government and banks dont like people dealing with large amounts of cash, but its not against the law. Even though the banks tell you that you cant withdraw huge amounts you actually can, its your money after all.

It can be nerve racking handling 100s of thousands of pounds cash but the advantage is whatever you do with it can NOT leave a paper trail.

    Cash is King.

    Cash is King.

Unfortunately though it is recorded if legal.

A HVD is any business prepared to accept high value payments (HVPs). A HVP is a payment of at least €15,000 (or equivalent in any currency) in cash for goods, whether it be in a single transaction or in several instalments. This includes circumstances where your customer deposits cash directly into your bank account.

What solicitor is going to accept that quantity of cash without evidence that it's legally sourced?!
  • I had to show my convayancing solicitor where all the money came from when we bought a house with cash and a personal loan. A mortgage would have been far simpler:confused:
