The plates cost about £1,000 per year.Problem is now most haulage companies insure their trucks for driver only and no passengers.

The DVLA arnt bothered. They wont tell me who it belongs to. They just said drop it into your local dvla centre (i dont think ive ever seen one!!) or the local police station. Im not wasting my time or petrol its a 30 mile round trip for the police station.

I will recyle it. Thats the best thing.

Contact your local police station and ask that they collect it - say that you are unable to get out, or rather than make a special trip drop it off when you are next passing.

    Is that so?
I thought that all drivers/owners had to have passenger insurance for all passengers.

Or, to rephrase that... a passenger is no different to any other third party.

    You are correct.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
