Help please laptop wont boot from CD BSOD

Just installing windows updates on it and checking for viruses etc , I think he has learnt his lesson this time!

now where is that wine??

nice one on getting it sorted. is everthing still intact document wise?

i forgot to ask what band your son is in.. I used to do alot of work with small bands, well i still do and i may end up seeing them at some point on my travels.

everything seems to be intact! few more tweaks to do but seems ok, its a very old laptop but would have been awful to lose it!

He is only 15 so I doubt you have seen his band although they do seem to be doing more and more gigs........ luckily I dont have to listen to them :-) but I do get to listen to his non band music at home, his piano and acoustic ballads are much better in my opinion!

His music coursework has been rescued thanks to all help given on this thread......... I will be backing it all up before handing laptop back to him !
