They do a lot more than that: the free offer may still apply, but the 'double up' offer is a darn sight better. Go here:

That's the Sim I'm taking about but they charge £5 delivery so it takes the price back up to £10!!
If I can get it instore then I'm getting £10 of credit for £5.xxx Nikki xxx0 -
I've just ordered two free Tesco mobile sims from them .
When they arrive I'll top up with £10 and get another £10 credit free0 -
The cheapest way to get one is to buy online for £5 and your get £5 full credit free no restriction. Total credit £10.Then you can top up as you wish, claiming free credit as you go.
If you get a free sim you need to top up by £10 and then you get another £10 free credit which you have to use up in a month. But you can get £2.10 cashback per free sim http://www.cashbackkings.com/tesco-free-sim-%28activation%29/bargains/m6635
Asda Payg is normally cheaper depending on your useage.
Ikea Payg are also cheap to use and are offering a free sim with £5 of free credit.

But although it comes with £10 credit it costs £5 for the sim and £5 for delivery so I'm not getting anything for free!!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
If you buy the Tesco sim card on-line for £5, you actually get £20.20 of credit.
First of all they come with 20p to start with, and they have £10 already topped up, which you'll get after you have registered and activated the card (by phoning a number), and then you'll also receive another £10 of free credit that will last a month.
It does work and I actually posted this on HotUKDeals over a month ago http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/359046/tesco-sim-card-4-89-with-20-20-cred/.
The £10 top-up included entitles you to the free £10 credit as well. When you get the 1st £10 you call *#10# to check the balance. The 2nd £10 credit can be checked by texting "balance" to 2112 after you receive a text saying "Great news. As you've topped-up £10 this month, your £10 free credit is now ready to use."
Best to get one with another item from Tesco Direct. Enjoy!0 -
i got 2 free sims from tesco in the post. i think someone posted you a link to it as well.
on quidco you get >£4 as well0
