Blackberry charges? Best plan?

I have a contract with O2 including unlimited internet access. I am interested in a blackberry as I send a lot of e-mails and spend time on the net. I notice that there are blackberry specific plans. Why? Do I not only need internet access to send emails? I am no expert in this field so any advice is welcome. Is a blackberry even right for me given i want to use the internet? I just want a traditional candy bar phone with 3g capabilitys and able to sync with outlook a welcome bonus. Thanks.

If you want Blackberry Push emails, you need to sign up to Blackberry for this. Those plans carry an extra fee to cover this.
