Couple of jobs at work but they need project management qualifications which I don't have.

Is it definitely 'need'? Project managers with actual qualifications are quite rare as most of it's common sense and handling people. Might be worth asking anyway, you can always read up on the methods etc. It's honestly not complicated, I've got full government approved quals and I'm blonde!

Agree with Hollyberry Cafe BB sounds fab

they've put it as an Essential  How we all managed projects before it, hey, nothing must have never been successful  It asks for PRINCE...2?

I thought about opening some kind of cafe, or food related business (ie hand made chocolates) after being made redundant. I did lots of digging around and it needs a lot of money initially. I also looked at working from my own kitchen - maybe a dinner party service brought to your house from menus you could choose, but the rules on hygiene working from home were a bit of a minefield.

I'm in the middle of applying for a job as Student Support Manager at a nearby comp. It sounds like it is a bit of a trouble shooting job with the kids and the pay isn't fab (18k start) but it sounds interesting and I have all the bits it needs and I really enjoy working in an educational setting.

Hi BB - what about a dinner party service where you cook in the clients home ? Worth looking into maybe ? XX

I also looked into that Elli. It would need some kind of liability insurance, it seemed to be complicated by cooking in their own homes.

If you want to do something like that BB I can help you out there. During my years with Mr Chef I ran his SS at home business. Basically he did catering for weddings etc but also parties in client's homes. I did the liability insurances etc for him as well as running the service on his gigs, he even had me in the kitchen a few times . The bleeding hours I sweated blood for him in between doing my own work, I must have been mad. :rotfl:

Just shows what a treasure you are, even if you are taken advantage of.

he's doing pretty well these days Toto at SS - or it could just be smoke and mirrors perhaps ;) He seems to be away a lot out in the Middle East.

If I decide to re-think the idea (I'd even planned menus) I know who to come to :D The insurance thing seemed a bit  when I looked into it.

I think he's doing ok Grrrr, would it make me an awful person for just wanting him to fall flat on his @rse for once? Having said that, I know him very very well, and I also know that he is prone to making things out to be a lot grander than they are. I do know a lot of the ins and outs of what he's doing and although aspire seem to be doing alright, he doesn't own it. So yes, smoke and mirrors is about right, take a lot of what you read with a pinch of salt.

He used to love to brag about what I was doing too, I'll never forget him doing his regular radio show, the things he came out with. One day he was on there while I was sitting at home reading the paper with a cuppa and he said how I was off on tour with maroon 5 that day. First either me or my agent had heard about that one :) I'm sure their drummer wouldn't have been too happy to hear that either. Give me a bottle of wine and I could go on all night about his antics.

    lol - i'll pass you a bottle ;)

I do have to confess to sometimes having one or other of his photos as my desktop image. I've got the one with the model with the flour on her back - I did just think though - was it you :o but then remembered seeing someone once mention she was the model for him.

I am sooooooo going to have to come down to your place one day and have a girly wine evening :D Even better, i should come over and bring Tanya, my best friend, who also knows him well (she hates him with a passion). I spend many a day chatting with her on facebook after she's pulled his profile and is peeing herself at what he's on about now.

The photography and modeling... there's a story lol. I never posed for any of his shots, I did buy him the bloody camera though.

I dunno it's a funny old situation really, a lot of it I won't go into detail about on here. I will do though, one day, then you can join in with the S baiting. I can't wait until his next birthday, I forget it every year which annoys him more than you could know, but I will be the first one there next year to shout HAPPY 50th :rotfl:
