Ive listed 10 items on Ebay so far, but im quite anoyyed about the postage rules. Im selling a wii game and maracas but i cant ask any money for postage! It has to be free! So what i have to pay about £3 postage to send this out of my own money? How is that fair??
Its the same with dvd's, cd's, video games, ipod cases.Blooming Ebay!

When did the ebay rules change? I sold a few things a couple of months ago and i don't remember not being able to add postage? It was bigger items, not dvds and cds, so maybe its just for little items now, a bit like Amazon Marketplace.
Not fair that we have to pay it out our own money, especially if the item is only small and not going to sell for a lot.The very best things in life ... are free!

I know it sucks! I have an Xbox limited edition game that has a big helmet thing with it. Its going to cost £13 parcelforce to send it, but because its a game i can only select free p&p!!!
Im just gona have to do a buy it now price with postage cost included in the price. Which will put buyers off!
Even a dvd costs about £1.20 to post and what happens when people want it recorded?!
Well done Jen! At least they sold for something though! Ive started all mine off at 99p so probably wont get much profit either!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Thats ridiculous, why have they changed the rules, anyone know? It explains why the charger i bought the other day had free postage, i did find that a bit odd. I see when you sell clothes you can still add postage? there is a few bits i am bidding on and the postage is more than the items.
Totally agree Maria, recorded costs around 75p extra for 1st class. Plus recorded protects you as well so i always preferred to send things that way.The very best things in life ... are free!

I have a feeling it is something to do with the no free if you list items for 99p! a way for them to look good and make us worse off:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

Yeah everything esle has normal postage rules like clothes, make up, toys, etc etc.
I could understand a max postage cost like £2 max or something on dvd's but free!
Ah, ive just seen if the item is big and bulky if you select courier instead of flat rate you can ask for postage. But you can only say how much the postage will cost in the description, not in the normal P&P selection part if you get me. So i suppose when the item ends i then add on the postage cost in the invoice then email to buyer.
Its all stupid! This is why i stopped Ebaying! lolMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I sold a load of games for OH and had to have free p&p, i sent them all second class still cost 74p each wasn't worth selling a few.
I brought a skirt off ebay other day, too big though so I might list that when I get round to it, not sure its worth the effort though. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
