Monday 13 April - what small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning and happy Bank Holiday Monday!
Another grey and damp morning here, but hopefully will have sunshine later.
Not a happy Mogchops, 5 days till payday and its going down to the wire! And woken up with a banging headache, think I may just go back to bed!!
Anyway.....today I will:
Check online banking (done that already )
Water seeds
Tea from freezer
10 comps
Go to cinema to see Monsters V Aliens (no cost as have tickets from a comp - get 2 a month for a year! nearly run out now though.)
DDs will take their own money to buy sweeties :T
Washing on the line if it brightens up
Find some very sparkly socks to wear!
Have a lovely day everyone xxxx

Just went and had a read - AF - I think you have done the right thing completely as well my DD is 12 and will be 13 in July - I'd be very the same as you - I think it sounds as if you guys can talk alot and if you have been able to voice your concerns and she has accepted them and countered them and you have backed yourself up again - don't worry too much about her hiding things - you two sound very very close. Hugs though xx
If its any consolation I wouldn't let DS (14) go on a friday night late party thing a month or so ago - something just didnt feel right about it and it was a group of kids being at a parents adult party (probably all ok BUT) - he was a bit put out but OK later on and said after it he'd been releived as some of them had got really drunk and ill and he was glad to have not been there in the end - the power of a mummy excuse is a great one, cos it means they are safe but don't have to take the flack for not going to something xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
