NXEC trains: what happens if I miss last train due to late connection

I'm buying a NXEC ticket. I'm booking an NXEC advance ticket to cover that entire leg of my journey. It's going to be a lot cheaper (less than 1/4 of the price) if I travel out on the last train of the night. That journey involves a connection, though - with only 10 minutes. Fine, if the train's on time. If it's late,…

Assuming someone with a brain is in the control room - I'd be surprised if it happens if it is a cross-TOC connection - but I'm a cynic.
