Yeh we saw that but we are not to happy at having to pay to park for the pleasure of staying at a hotel. Some of the cost's to park are £12.50 per night which is adding an extra £25 on to a two night stay0 -

But NOT after dark!
BTW Nottingham is fully mapped on Google streetview so you can have a virtual visit.

I stopped in the Park Inn on Saturday night. It was a nice hotel. Rooms have Sony Bravia TV with freeview, excellent showers, ironing board (as if!), hair dryer.
The swimming pool closed due to a leak though.
There is a nice pub opposite also.0 -
The one at Phoneix Park isn't too bad - there is a Beefeater restaurant next to the Hotel. The trams run every 20 minutes through the day and are not very often delayed (I use them quite often)
This one is also nice http://www.life-hotels.co.uk/nottinghamgateway/ and near Cinderhill tram stop, or 5 minutes outside of the city centre.
Hope this helps a little - I can recommend a few others if you wanted to stay just outside of Nottingham a touch more, including a fantastic one at Clumber Park.0 -

I'm looking for one that does not charge to park your car in a public car park as the one's i have looked at all seem to charge. We even looked at one that had a 600 space car park and charged £12.50 per night.
any recommendations please we are staying for two nights.
i stayed here years ago
it was very reasonable
