I've got this bin. It's a great size for us, gets filled about every three days or so. It looks good too :D

Does this work better than my £5 plastic bin ?

Maybe it walks the rubbish to my wheely bin! does seem an awful lot just for a bin

I have to agree. I would love one of these bins, they look so stylish but I can't justify the price. I've been looking at them for a while trying to justify the price and persuade myself that I really need one. Why are they so expensive? I'ts only to put rubbish in !
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves

I'm in the same boat, I want one but would be throwing money away ... however ..... at least we'd had a nice bin to throw it into :)

I say go for it! We have a 30 litre one, and we love it (well, as much as you can love a bin!) They also have a 10 year manufacturer's guarantee. I had had our first one for only 2 years, and something went wrong with it - very unusual, apparently - but I took it back to Argos and they replaced it with a new one, no problem.
It may be a big initial outlay, but if it's guaranteed to last, I think it's worth it.

A think a 30 litre one would best suit me, I guess this size is not on offer ... knowing my luck!
  • Well i went for it! Couldn't see one anywhere near that cheap! No i've got a 30 litre one as well, gonna try and sell that to the sister in law. Thanks to op

ive had my eye on these for a while but i noticed the one on offer is the shiny chrome one while there is also a brushed steel version which is what my friend has and is easier to wipe down whilst the one on offer i can imagine that i would have to polish everyday...anyone have experience of this version and is it murder with finger marks?

I keep coming back to the bin thread - I've got to get out more!!

Seriously, though, my first one was the shiny version, which looked lovely just after it had been cleaned, but you're right - it showed every fingermark and drop of liquid. I now have the matt version, and although I preferred the look of the shiny one, this one takes less time to look after!

I'm going to have to stop with this bin obsession....is there a helpline?
